The BMA has raised the standards of its road race running experience. Therefore the timing technology has been upgraded to a new level.
The BIBTag is the BMA's new timing system which offers the highest simplicity and efficiency of any automatic timing solution.
The timing device is now built-in on the back of the BIB. Like the timing chip, runners need to follow exact instructions in order to make sure to have a proper timing:

  • Pick Up your envelope from the BIB-Pick Up stand

  • Do not remove the tag from the BIB.

  • Do not twist, fold or wrinkle your BIB

  • Do not switch your BIB with any other participants

  • Pin the BIB using the four secure pins found in the envelope

  • The BIB should be clearly visible on the front of the chest

  • The BIB should be shown clearly from the Start to the Finish line to make sure you have a proper timing and nice photographs!

  • No BIB-tag = No Time

    Why Byblos Jbeil?

The Beirut Marathon is hosting the 2015 Women's Race 3rd Edition in Jbeil this year.

Why did we choose Byblos, Jbeil as the host of this year's Women's Race?

For starters Byblos is one of the most scenic and welcoming cities in Lebanon. It was hard to resist the opportunity to host one of our races there and to give runner the chance to experience the beauty of that region.

As the Beirut Marathon we aim to spread the running culture all over Lebanon and not just in Beirut and we are now putting that into action. We hope to attract runners from the north, Mount Lebanon, Beirut and more.

Jbeil is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. It brings in thousands of tourists yearly and is a hotspot for the Lebanese as well. Beautiful beach shores line the city, roads are made of old cobblestone and ancient structures are visible all over. Even more wonderful is the friendly and hospitable community that lives there who have been supportive and welcoming for the upcoming event.
