Welcome to another BLOM Bank Beirut Marathon Training season! Once again, we have collaborated with Chicago Marathon Official Trainer Hal Higdon to provide our runners with a varied range of training programs to suit all needs. This year we will be providing 2 training schedules for the marathon race: Beginner and Intermediate each 21 weeks long.

Marathon Beginner Training Schedule
The Beginner schedule is designed for participants who are generally fit but new to running. It consists of 4 running days a week, 2 rest days, and 1 cross-training day. Use this program if your primary goal is to finish a marathon - a great achievement in itself!

Marathon Intermediate Training Schedule
The Intermediate schedule is designed for those who already run regularly and who aim at finishing the marathon in a respectable time (under 4 hours for ages 18+ and under 5 hours for ages 35+).

11 Golden Rules to Marathon Training
Adapted from Running Dialogue, 5K to the Marathon, by its author David Holt.
