Coordinator Mariam Haidar spoke at BLOM Bank last Monday to hearten employees to take part in the 2011 BLOM Beirut Marathon for the sake of a charitable cause. Two groups of over fifty interested participants were moved by an inspirational film documenting the accomplishment of 11 runners in a phenomenal 111KM ultramarathon that stretched from Damascus to Beirut. This year, BLOM Bank is endorsing 42 different charitable causes to encourage runners and non-runners
alike to participate in various Marathon races while simultaneously benefiting the local community. From giving a child a heart to saving the cedars, this year there are plenty causes for all to find a personal calling and a reason to run!
